Battle for the High Throne

Southern Front 99 Fantasy Rules! Tournament

Background Story: High King Rodric the Conqueror united most of the known land under his banner, though many nations were allied through marriage. The High King was a conqueror of more than land and produced many offspring from his marriages, as well as outside of marriage. However since all the official marriages were considered only valid in the allied country, and never sanctioned by Rodric's official church, all his offspring are considered bastards. When the High King died without proclaiming an heir, determining his successor was left to the bastard who could take the High Throne.

This is the official web site for the Southern Front 99 FR! tournament (see below for more info on FR! or Southern Front). The tourney will be held Saturday afternoon, and pictures of the event, tournament results and battle reports will appear here after the convention. Standard 1000 pts, 250 pts sideboard, 15mm 2nd edition FR! armies are allowed - though we are flexible and can create army list for just about any 15mm army you might wish to play. The Battle for the High Throne will be a round-robin tournament pitting your army against those of your rival claimants to the throne - fighting each battle in a different terrain of the land you are trying to rule. Winning a major victory is worth 3 tournament points, a minor victory 2, a minor defeat is worth 1, and a major defeat is worth none. The player with the most tournament points after three rounds is declared the winner and High King.
